Pinyin Study is a Chrome extension by Angelo Saraceno.
Text stays on your device
Selected, typed, or pasted text is processed locally using the extension’s bundled dictionaries and code. It is not sent to the developer or third parties. Pinyin Study does not save lookup history or collect browsing history, account information, analytics, or advertising identifiers.
Stored preference
The only preference stored is Show meaning. It stays in local browser storage, is not transmitted, and is cleared when you remove the extension.
Page access
When you click the toolbar icon, Pinyin Study uses temporary access to the active tab to read your selected text once. Its right-click menu receives the text you select for lookup. The extension does not request broad website access or monitor pages in the background. Page access is used only for the lookup you invoke.
External links
Links in the credits open dictionary and licensing websites with their own privacy policies. These links do not include your lookup text.
Data sharing
Pinyin Study does not sell or share user data or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions.
